Year 9 Options Information Evening – Thursday 8th February
Dear Parent/Carer,
I am writing to inform you that our Year 9 Options Information Evening will take place in person at the Academy on Thursday 8th February 2024 between 4.15pm and 7.15pm. Please note, this event is taking place on the same evening as our Year 8 Parents Evening.
The purpose of this event is to support you and your child in making informed decisions as they progress from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 at the end of this academic year. This is a perfect opportunity to engage with staff and student ambassadors who will provide you with any information you require about the broad range of subjects we offer at Hans Price Academy.
During the evening, you are welcome to attend a short talk with Mr Hooper and Mr Macaulay who will outline the options process. They will break down all the important information to support your child in making the best decisions for their options. These talks will take place at 5pm and 6pm.
There will also be the opportunity to talk to members of the senior leadership team and student ambassadors to start the process of considering the best choices for your child. This will be set up in the main street and you will be able to access this information flexibly throughout the evening.
Finally, we will have printed copies of our Options Booklet for you to take away and read. This will show you where to access all our supportive resources which you can refer to over the coming months to support the decision-making process.
