Year 7

At Hans Price we recognise that the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is a challenging, exciting time for young people and work hard to support all of our incoming students.

Our Induction Day is an opportunity for students to begin to feel part of the Hans Price community – our teaching staff will plan and deliver outstanding lesson experiences. Students typically leave at the end of the day feeling like they wish it was September already!

The Academy’s admission arrangements for Year 7 new intake are in conjunction with the North Somerset Co-ordinated Admission Scheme for new intake secondary admissions for 2024-25.

New Intake applications can be made online or on paper and should be submitted to your home council. If you live in North Somerset you should apply to:

In Year Applications

To apply for a place in Years 8, 9, 10 or 11 (known as an ‘In-Year Transfer’) you will to need to complete this application form.  This form should be returned to the Academy for the attention of our Admissions Officer Mrs Tina Watkins.  We will then contact your child’s previous school to obtain academic information to enable us to correctly place your child to ensure a smooth and successful transfer to Hans Price Academy.  If we are able to offer a place we will then invite you to an Admission meeting at the Academy.
