Year 7 Parents’ Evening Letter – Thursday 13th July

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to inform you that our Year 7 Parents’ Evening will take place in person at the Academy on Thursday 13th July 2023 between 4pm and 7pm.

This is a perfect opportunity to meet your child’s subject teachers, discuss the academic progress being made and tackle any areas of concern.  Teachers will initially be making a small number of high-priority appointments, with remaining appointments available for parents/carers to book on a first-come, first-served basis. Where teachers have multiple classes, appointment booking may be limited. However, you will receive a “Progress Report”, which will give you an overview of your child’s progress in each subject, as well as their overall attendance, homework completion and conduct.

Whilst this Parents Evening will take place in the Academy, we are continuing to use School Cloud to book and manage appointment slots. Appointments can be made from 9am on Friday 30th June and will close on 13th July at 3:30pm. For most parents, you will be able to book a single, 5-minute appointment with each teacher. College Leaders, the SEND team and Attendance team will be available to meet with throughout the evening.

During the evening there will be talks on the green steps with Ms Allchurch to explain the data shown on the academic reports as well as the role of reading in your child’s progress. These will take place at 5pm and 6pm for approximately 15 minutes. Please do take this into consideration when booking your appointments.

Please visit https://hanspriceacademy.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointment.

There is a video parent guide to the School Cloud system, available here.

You will need to log in with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your contact email
  • Your child’s name
  • Your child’s date of birth

If you have any queries about the arrangements for this evening, please do not hesitate to contact us at the academy.

Yours sincerely

Ms R Allchurch
