Year 11 Parents’ Evening Letter 01.12.2022
Dear Parent/Carer,
I am writing to inform you that our Year 11 Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 1st December between 4:15pm and 7:15pm. With this letter is an updated Year 11 – Dates for the fridge calendar, including Year 11 photos, holiday sessions and prom date.
The students have recently completed their PPE exams and will be receiving their results in time for Parents Evening. This event will allow you to meet with your child’s subject teachers, discuss the progress they have made and the next steps to prepare them for their final GCSE exams in May.
How to book your appointments
Please visit https://hanspriceacademy.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book an appointment. The booking system will open on Monday 21st November 2022 at 9am and close on Thursday 1st December 2022 at 3.30pm. You will be able to book a 6 minute appointment with each of your child’s subject teachers. Maths, English and Science appointments will be on the first floor, with option subjects in the main hall and nearby classrooms.
You will need to log in with the following information:
- Your name and contact email
- Your child’s name and date of birth
All of these details will need to match the details we have for you and your child in our data management system (SIMS), please check your SIMs Parent App contact details section. If you experience difficulties this is usually associated with legal names and preferred names (for example, Eleanor versus Ellie).
Post 16 Application Support
We expect that all students make at least 2 Post-16 applications by Christmas. If you need support applying for college courses our Careers Advisor, Mrs Fielding will be available during the evening as well as representatives from local Post-16 providers, where you can seek guidance on choosing the right course, qualifications needed and course levels. Our IT facilities will be available in LS3 for families to complete online applications with the support of a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
If you have any queries about Parents’ Evening, please do not hesitate to contact your tutor in the first instance. Alternatively, you may contact me using the email address below. Your support for this occasion is important to us as an Academy and we really look forward to speaking with you.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Siân Angell
