Year 11 – Meet the Tutor Evening – Thursday 6th October
23rd September 2022
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to inform you that our Year 11 “Meet the Tutor” Evening will take place on Thursday 6th October 2022 between 4:15pm and 7:15pm. This event will allow you to meet your child’s Year 11 tutor who is a key adult for them during their final year at Hans Price. We are eager to talk about PPE results, progress and effort towards their attainment.
You will have the chance to have a meaningful discussion around Post-16 choices and next steps with our Careers Advisor, Jackie Fielding, as well as some local Post-16 providers. We will use this opportunity to share information with you about assessment arrangements for Pre-Public Exams (PPEs) as well as answering any Access Arrangement questions you have about your child’s learning needs and entitlements with our SENCO.The SENCO will be available for drop-in conversations in our main “Street” area throughout the evening.
Our intention is to give all families a clear view of your child’s current grades as well as clear targets to support improvement. As this is the final year for students at HPA, it is vital that families take every opportunity to attend parents’ evenings, so we thank you in advance for making this a priority in your calendar.
Please visit https://hanspriceacademy.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book an appointment with your child’s tutor. Bookings will open on Wednesday 28th September at 9am and close at 3pm on Thursday 6th October. In the event that the LF tutor is fully booked at the time you are available, a member of the Extended Leadership Team will be available to meet instead. You can access School Cloud from any internet-connected device, such as a phone or tablet. You do not need to download an app. There is a video parent guide to the School Cloud system, available here.
You will need to log in with the following information:
- Your name
- Your contact email
- Your child’s name
- Your child’s date of birth
All of these details will need to match the details we have for you and your child in our SIMS system, so if your login fails in the first instance, please check your SIMS Parent App contact details section. Initial login difficulties are usually limited to those associated with legal names and preferred names (for example, Eleanor versus Ellie). If you do not have the SIMS parent app, please email [email protected] for instructions and an activation code.
If you have any queries about the arrangements for this evening, please do not hesitate to email [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 6th October.
Yours sincerely,
Miss S Angell
