Year 10 Parents’ Evening – Thursday 10th March

Dear Parent/Carer

I am writing to inform you that our Year 10 Parents Evening will take place in person on Thursday 10th March 2022 between 4.30pm and 7.30pm.

Year 10 students have recently sat their first GCSE in-class assessments, and so this is a perfect opportunity to meet your child’s subject teachers, discuss the academic progress being made and tackle any areas of concern.  Student reports will be available to collect when you arrive on parents evening and will include predicted grades from their most recent assessments.

Whilst this Parents Evening will take place in the Academy, we are continuing to use School Cloud to book and manage appointment slots. Appointments can be made from 9am on Friday 4th March  and will close on 10st March at 3:30pm. For most parents, you will be able to book a single, 7-minute appointment with each teacher. In some instances, parents will also be able to book an appointment with Mrs Street, the SENCO, or a College Leader if required.

During the evening there will be 3 talks on the green steps with Miss Angell, Mrs Fielding and Ms Allchurch to give information regarding the data shown on the academic reports as well as some preparatory information before year 10 Work Experience taking place at the end of the month . These will take place at 5pm, 5.30pm and 6pm for approximately 15 minutes. Please do take this into consideration when booking your appointments to ensure attendance at one of these 3 talks.

Please visit https://hanspriceacademy.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointment.

There is a video parent guide to the School Cloud system, available here.

You will need to log in with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your contact email
  • Your child’s name
  • Your child’s date of birth

All of these details will need to match the details we have for you and your child in our SIMS system, so if your login fails in the first instance, please check your SIMS Parent App contact details section. Initial login difficulties are usually limited to those associated with legal names and preferred names (for example, Eleanor versus Ellie). If you do not have the SIMS parent app, please email [email protected] for instructions and an activation code.

If you have any queries about the arrangements for this evening, please do not hesitate to contact us at the academy.

Yours sincerely

Miss S Angell
