School Closed on Friday 18th February 2022
17th February 2022
Dear Parents and Carers
In light of the upgraded weather warning issued today by the Met Office regarding the potential impact of Storm Eunice, we have taken the decision to close Hans Price Academy tomorrow, Friday 18th February 2022
We understand this may be challenging for our families and we apologise for the late notice but the safety of our students and staff is our priority.
The Met Office has today upgraded its weather warning to Red for the South-West, warning there is a ‘danger to life’, with wind forecast up to 100mph and people are advised to stay indoors.
Hans Price Academy will be closed to all staff and pupils on Friday 18th February 2022.
We will provide work for all students, in all year groups. This will be a combination of Live teaching via Teams and remote learning which students will access independently.
There will be an assembly with the Principal for all year groups. We will set the work as usual through our SIMs homework app which students are very familiar with using.
All attendance will be monitored, and good effort and work will be rewarded using our usual systems.
Thank you for your support and understanding. Please stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Hans Price Academy after half term.
Yours sincerely
Tony Searle
Senior Principal
