Remodelling Work At Hans Price Academy

29 June 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

Remodelling work at Hans Price Academy

We are delighted to inform you that we are about to start some much-needed remodelling work in our Maths and Science departments. As you will know, the academy has grown significantly in recent years and we need additional Science labs, to accommodate all our lessons.

From Monday 4th July we will have contractors on site, starting the work of converting our two huge Science labs into three slightly smaller ones. There is additional work taking place to relocate the Science prep rooms and two staff offices.

I would like to reassure parents that this project is being ably managed by the premises and projects teams at the Cabot Learning Federation, with all necessary compliance and health and safety checks in place. All the contractors and sub-contractors have enhanced DBS checks and the site is set up so that contractors will not have access to any areas used by students during school hours.

We hope and expect that all the work will be completed by September, but there will be a little bit of re-rooming of lessons for these last three weeks of the term, in order to allow the building work to start. We will continue to teach normal lessons in all subjects, right up to the end of term. We are grateful for the good humour and sensible behaviour of our students, who we know will be patient and respectful and will allow the contractors to get on with their work, making our school an even better place to learn and work.

If you have any queries or concerns about this, or any other matter, please do contact me on [email protected]

With thanks for your continued support,

 Mrs H Jones

Interim Principal
