Principal letter to Parents / Carers

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am writing today with news of a significant change to the leadership team at Hans Price Academy which will occur later this year.

I will be changing the way I work with Hans Price as I take up a new position as Executive Principal within the Cabot Learning Federation’s executive team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the education and prospects of young people in schools across the CLF trust. However, I will of course also be sad to leave behind my role as Principal in a school and a team which I have become deeply fond of over the past nine years. I am immensely proud of the progress we have made and all we have achieved together.

I appreciate change of this magnitude can be unsettling, and I know you will be keen to learn what it means for the future of Hans Price Academy, and your child’s education.

A smooth transition will be a key priority, and I hope it will therefore be reassuring to learn that I will retain a close relationship with Hans Price in the months ahead. My transition to the new role will be phased, enabling me to continue to directly support the school over the coming academic year.

Meanwhile, a robust recruitment process is already underway. We anticipate an advertisement for a new Principal will go live by the end of this week, as we search for a replacement Principal capable of maintaining and improving upon Hans Price Academy’s high standards. We will communicate further details of our plans for the interim period and likely timescales to complete this process in due course.

Until then, I will continue to work to uphold the values and ambitions of Hans Price Academy and ensure minimal disruption to the high-quality learning opportunities it provides for all pupils.
