Head of School – End of Year Letter to Parents

Dear Parents/Carers,

As the term draws to a close, I am writing to confirm our plans for the last day of this term and our return in September. I would like to take this moment to thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child is successful here at HPA. It has been a busy year, with much to celebrate and for our students to be proud of!

You will be aware from a previous letter that Tony Searle has taken up a new position as Executive Principal within the Cabot Learning Federation. As a member of our school community for 16 years, I am delighted to be writing to you as Interim Head of School for the coming academic year. I am looking forward to working with you in order to maintain and improve upon Hans Price Academy’s high standards, whilst also upholding the values and ambitions of our academy. Tony Searle will continue to work closely with myself and the senior leadership team.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Annie Massey to Hans Price Academy and the Senior Leadership Team. Annie will be Interim Vice Principal for the coming year.

Last day of term

Our last day of the Summer term is Friday 21st July, all students will be finishing at 12:45pm. For students who are entitled to Free School Meals, these will be available to collect at break time. Prior to the end of term please remind your child of the following:

  • Check lost property, for any items they may be missing – lost property will be displayed in reception after school on Wednesday 19th July and Thursday 20th July. Anything not collected will be donated to charity.
  • Clear out their lockers
  • Check that lunch accounts are not overdrawn

Uniform Donations

If you have any items of uniform in good condition (e.g. a blazer, school tie or PE kit), the school would really appreciate any donations. These will be used in our Uniform Store to support other students who need them.

Results Day

A letter has already gone out to the parents of our Year 11 leavers with full details. The academy will be open from 10am on Thursday 24th August, for students to collect results.
